IT Application Support Operations Lead

Your role in creating value
- Developing strong business relationships and serving as the primary contact for support escalations.
- Managing IT vendors and monitoring service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborating with the team on Service Improvement Planning initiatives.
- Assisting in application deployment and conducting post-implementation validation.
- Planning and testing for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, alongside ongoing maintenance.
- Coordinating with Infrastructure Services and other IT teams to address downstream infrastructure-related matters.
- Prioritizing application security, including regular Software Security Assessments and Security Architecture Reviews.
- Ensuring adherence to security frameworks and controls for applications.
Qualifications for success
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Demonstrated experience in application support, ideally within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.
- Strong knowledge or hands-on experience in enterprise monitoring and observability, preferably in BFSI.
- Familiarity with enterprise logging platforms such as Splunk and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with workflow management and IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like Remedy or ServiceNow.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and practical experience with associated tools (JIRA/Confluence).
- Highly desirable: exposure to Cloud Technologies, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and DevOps principles with an emphasis on automation.
- Self-motivated and a continuous learner, demonstrating resilience and discipline.
- Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, coupled with innovative problem-solving capabilities.
- Strategic mindset when addressing challenges.
- Proficient in influencing and negotiating, leveraging professional relationships to achieve favorable business outcomes.
- Able to analyze issues from various perspectives and appreciate the complexity of diverse viewpoints.
