Lead Sushi Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. As a Lead Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving sushi, sashimi, handrolls, and omakase courses to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Japanese ingredients, fish handling, knife skills, and traditional techniques. You will work closely with the head chef and culinary team to innovate and uphold our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve sushi, sashimi, handrolls, and omakase courses to the highest standards.
  • Ensure freshness, quality, and presentation of all ingredients.
  • Manage preparation, portioning, and storage according to best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Engage with guests warmly during service, explaining dishes and enhancing their dining experience.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Sushi Chef, preferably in a fine dining or omakase setting.
  • Deep knowledge of Japanese ingredients, fish handling, knife skills, and traditional techniques.
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
