Job Title: Field Engineer - ONT Installation & Wi-Fi Setup

">About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and tech-savvy Field Service Professional to carry out ONT (Optical Network Terminal) installations and basic Wi-Fi setup at residential customer premises. This role involves configuring Wi-Fi routers/access points, assisting customers with device connectivity, and ensuring stable internet access.

">Main Responsibilities
  • Install and activate ONT devices at residential customer locations.
  • Connect and configure Wi-Fi routers or access points to ONTs.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of router and wireless connectivity issues.
  • Assist customers with connecting devices (phones, laptops, smart devices) to Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure proper internet functionality before completing the job.
  • Provide basic guidance to customers on using and managing their Wi-Fi network.
  • Accurately document installation details and escalate issues when necessary.
Requirements
  • Broad understanding of home networking and internet connectivity.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi routers, access points, SSID/password setup, and basic security.
  • Able to troubleshoot common wireless network issues.
  • Comfortable assisting customers with device setup and connectivity.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Must have access to own form of transportation.
  • Singaporean or Permanent Resident (PR) candidates preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in field installation or ISP residential support is an advantage.
  • Broad knowledge of IP addressing, DHCP, and networking concepts is a plus.
  • Broad technical and workflow training will be provided to successful candidates.
