Wine Ambassador Role

    We are seeking an experienced Wine Ambassador to elevate our wine and beverage program. This key role will be responsible for curating exceptional wine selections, managing our wine list, hosting wine tastings, and providing superior service in a dynamic dining environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly and understand their preferences to provide personalized wine recommendations.
  • Curate and update the wine list featuring premium regions (France, Italy, Japan, etc.).
  • Develop a profitable wine strategy aligned with our restaurant concept and clientele.
  • Foster strong relationships with wine suppliers and source exclusive selections.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team on wine pairings for seasonal menus.
  • Provide expert wine presentation, explaining aromas, styles, and vintages.
  • Host wine dinners, tastings, and private events to drive engagement.
  • Train service staff on wine knowledge to enhance overall guest experience.
  • Set wine sales targets and review performance with management.
  • Oversee proper wine storage and manage inventory to reduce waste.
  • Handle guest feedback, inquiries, and complaints professionally.
  • Support the service team in guest interactions and F&B operations when needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of sommelier or wine service experience.
  • Formal wine certification (WSET, CMS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of global wines, including sake and Japanese wine.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for hospitality and guest interaction.
  • Team player with a flexible, hands-on attitude.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Japanese is an advantage to liaise with Mandarin or Japanese speaking guests.
