Job Title: Instrument Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily smooth functioning of the Theatre Sterile Supplies Unit, ensuring that all sterile items are received, sorted, decontaminated, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed to operating theatres, SOC, in-patient wards, and procedural rooms.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Engineering or relevant technical credentials, with one year of working experience as an Instrument Technical Assistant or relevant experience in CSSD/TSSU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the daily smooth functioning of the TSSU in receiving, sorting, decontaminating, inspecting, packing, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical items.
  • Perform and evaluate sterilizer test indicators.
  • Conduct inventory of all sterile linen and surgical consumables supplies.
  • Issue sterile supplies to all supporting areas in a timely manner.
  • Keep track of preventive maintenance (PM) of washer disinfectors, dryers, ultrasonic washers, and sterilizers.
  • Perform cleaning of the TSSU storage area.
  • Demonstrate proper use and care of equipment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical credentials.
  • One year of working experience as an Instrument Technical Assistant or relevant experience in CSSD/TSSU.
  • Possess good interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  • Good command of written English and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
