The position of Instrument Technician Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures by providing essential sterile and reusable surgical instruments and equipment. This involves receiving, sorting, decontaminating, inspecting, packaging, sterilizing, storing, and distributing these items to various departments.

Main Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, decontaminate, inspect, pack, sterilize, store, and distribute surgical items ">
  • Operate washer-disinfectors, dryers, ultrasonic washers, and sterilizers ">
  • Evaluate sterilizer test indicators and perform inventory of sterile supplies ">
  • Issue sterile supplies to operating rooms and procedural areas ">
  • Clean and maintain the storage area and report defective equipment ">
  • Identify and notify supervisors of instrument repairs or replacements ">
  • Facilitate smooth activities within the sterilization department ">

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field ">
  • Preferable with working experience as an Instrument Technical Assistant or in CSSD/TSSU ">
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills ">
  • Strong command of written English and basic Microsoft Office skills ">
