Foreign Exchange Specialist

About the Role:
The Foreign Exchange Specialist is a critical role responsible for managing the branch's foreign currency-denominated securities portfolio and achieving desired goals in portfolio mix quality, yield, and profitability. The individual will take and manage proprietary positions in the foreign exchange market and be responsible for liquidity trader duties, including reconciliation and management of the branch's foreign currency-denominated nostro accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Securities and FX Portfolio and Liquidity.
- Take positions in foreign currency-denominated sovereign/corporate securities to maximize returns based on house view.
- Analyze market conditions using fundamental and technical indicators and provide analysis/update to management, clients, and concerned units.
- Capture timely and accurate transactions in applicable trading platform.
- Monitor nostro account balances and maintain minimum required balances daily.
- Reconcile captured/reported cashflows versus bank statement of accounts and update nostro balances accordingly.
- Execute interbank lending/borrowing and/or foreign exchange swaps.
- Attend to administrative-related matters such as preparation of various reportorial requirements for treasury meetings or by the Treasury Officer.
- Perform other duties assigned from time to time.
