The primary objective of this role is to attract companies from the Asia-Pacific region to list on a leading stock exchange in New York. The Senior Director, Capital Markets will be responsible for cultivating relationships with issuers, bankers, PE/VC firms, lawyers, auditing firms, and industry associations to promote the NYSE as the ultimate listing destination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development initiatives in Asia, driving a pipeline of companies and securing listings for the NYSE Group.
- Develop sales strategies aligned with the NYSE's objectives in Asian markets, staying informed on capital market trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments.
- Build on the NYSE Group's brand identity to identify and engage target companies, growing its footprint and mindshare in the region.
- Establish strong partnerships with PE/VC firms, lawyers, bankers, and other capital markets professionals who play a key role in determining listing decisions.
- Represent the NYSE Group at meetings, conferences, and events to establish key relationships and onboard companies throughout the listing process.
- Develop statistical studies and presentations for prospect company meetings.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree required, with significant experience in business development and a track record of winning deals.
- Knowledge and connections within the Asia-Pacific region, demonstrating ability to understand and integrate unique cultures and languages.
- Self-starter with strong sales background, developing sales metrics, business plans, and a disciplined sales methodology.
- Experience in investment banking, consulting, or PE/VC firms preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Mandarin language a plus.
