Job Title: Senior Manager, Risk Management and Data Protection

At The Edge Partnership, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our risk management and data protection efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an effective risk management process, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and providing training and support to staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the organization.
  • Serve as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and lead the development of a data governance framework to ensure the secure handling of personal data.
  • Regularly review and update our risk policy to ensure compliance with new legislation and regulations.
  • Provide training and support to staff on risk management principles and data protection best practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement risk policies, procedures, and compliance measures.
  • Design and implement monitoring systems to maintain risk levels below established thresholds.
  • Provide risk reporting to relevant stakeholders and educate the board of directors on significant risks to the business.
  • Manage the review and improvement of business continuity plans to minimize risks.
  • Implement health and safety measures and ensure adequate insurance coverage.
  • Conduct policy and compliance audits, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Review new major contracts and internal business proposals to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management, data protection, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks and data protection regulations.
  • Understanding of risk control frameworks and operational risk management.
  • Ability to handle and monitor PDPA activity, including training and business engagement.
  • Handling workplace safety issues on behalf of the organization.
  • Effective collaboration across functional teams and interaction with stakeholders of varying seniority.
  • Ability to manage a small team, coach, and provide direction to achieve organizational objectives and individual career development.
  • Preference given to those with regulatory compliance or compliance experience.
