Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Operations Specialist to oversee payroll processes across APAC. This role will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to local regulations, company policies, and best practices.

This specialist will manage end-to-end payroll operations for assigned APAC countries, including validating payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, bonuses, leaves, and other adjustments. The individual must ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule in compliance with statutory and internal requirements.

The selected candidate will prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports and reconciliations, assist with audits and statutory filings. They will work closely with local payroll vendors to ensure service quality and timely delivery, act as the point of contact between external vendors, Finance, and HR teams regarding payroll matters.

This role requires strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality. Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in any local ASEAN language is a plus. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines across time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for assigned APAC countries.
  • Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, bonuses, leaves, and other adjustments.
  • Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports and reconciliations.
  • Assist with audits and statutory filings.
  • Work closely with local payroll vendors to ensure service quality and timely delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven Payroll experience, preferably with multi-country exposure in the APAC region.
  • Strong understanding of local payroll legislation, tax, and statutory requirements in at least 2–3 APAC countries.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/HRIS systems.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in any local ASEAN language is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines across time zones.
