Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with dementia and their caregivers, providing assessments, interventions, and support.

Job Description
  • Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for persons with dementia and their carers.
  • Develop individualised care plans for the person living with dementia and carers to live well with dementia.
  • Assess the wellbeing of persons with dementia and implement person-centred strategies to address behaviours of concern and enhance activity engagement.
  • Conduct individual or group interventions.
  • Provide occupational therapy consultation, training, and support to relevant members of the care team, family carers, and domestic helpers.
  • Provide community case management services for the person with dementia and the carer.
  • Adopt a transdisciplinary approach to care and work with multi-disciplinary team members for better care outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC).
  • Full registration with AHPC.
  • At least 2 years of professional practice experience.
  • Experience working in dementia care, geriatrics, or mental health settings preferred.
