Job Title:

A Compliance Specialist is required to oversee and manage regulatory reporting.

About the Job

This is a key role in ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, requiring close collaboration with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams for regulatory reporting initiatives.
  • Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements (e.g. MAS, APRA, HKMA, ECB, PRA, EMIR, MiFID, Dodd-Frank).
  • Translate complex business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, workflows, and data mapping.
  • Participate in solution design, test planning, UAT coordination, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Verify data integrity and completeness across various regulatory reports.
  • Maintain reporting performance and accuracy, and support audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting.
  • Knowledge of banking/financial services products and services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory regimes (e.g. Basel III, MAS 610/649, SFTR, HKMA returns).
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and testing practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with regulatory reporting platforms (e.g. AxiomSL, Moody's, Wolters Kluwer).
  • Professional certifications (e.g. FRM, CFA, ICA, CBAP) are a plus.
  • Understanding of data architecture, data governance, and controls.
