Job Overview:

We are seeking a Director of Guest Services to lead our team in providing exceptional experiences for our guests.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily guest services operations, including concierge, bell service, door service, parking valet, and night runners;
  • Lead the direction and supervision of all Guest Services duties, ensuring they are performed and maintained in accordance with hotel standards and strategic plans;
  • Liaise between Front Office departments and other hotel areas to ensure effective guest experience;
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, review, and conduct training and audits in line with hotel-wide training and development plans;
  • Management and leadership of the Guest Services team, including manpower planning, recruitment, training, deployment, and performance reviews;
  • Identify equipment and supply needs, negotiate with vendors for best quality at competitive pricing, and issue, monitor, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and billings involving department areas;
  • Responsible for budgeting, planning, and forecasting yearly and monthly revenue and expenditure for areas of responsibility;
  • Conduct bi-monthly department, concierge, and officers' meetings to update colleagues on hotels' objectives, performance, and goals;

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary education or higher with equivalent and hotel-related experience;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial position in the service industry, preferably in Guest Services and/or Front Office;
  • English language proficiency, with knowledge of a second language preferred;
  • Knowledge of Opera system and other related sub-systems interfaced to the PABX and/or hotel's computer system;
  • Ability to plan, lead, motivate, and control; dynamic, analytical, and detail-oriented, problem-solving and counseling skills;
  • Responsive to continuous challenges and improvements, open to making changes to achieve targeted results;
  • Leadership qualities to motivate and direct colleagues to proactively meet and exceed guest expectations;
  • Focused on colleagues' training and development, human resource, and performance management;
