Job Title: F&B Team Member

We are seeking a skilled and friendly F&B Team Member to join our dynamic team at Marina Bay Sands. As a valued member of our team, you will provide exceptional service to our guests and contribute to the success of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide fast, efficient, and friendly service to guests.
  • Acknowledge and greet customers, and converse with guests who approach the cashier area.
  • Process cash, comp, coupon, or credit card transactions accurately.
  • Handle all cash transactions, including accepting money, comps, coupons, and credit cards, and calculate change correctly.
  • Ensure charges are correct and guests' signatures are legible.
  • Enter sales and payment details into the POS system.
  • Account for guest checks as used or unused.
  • Complete required paperwork for comps, coupons, and room charges.
  • Pre-number guest checks in a continuous sequence and record numbers in a control book.
  • Group cash and credit card checks for the shift and hand them to management at the end of the shift.
  • Prepare daily cash remittance reports and ensure collections are placed in a secure location.
  • Be responsible for missing checks and cash balances, and handle overages according to Cashier Variance Procedures.
  • Maintain count and balance of bank float at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Record all matters in the logbook and refer to it at the beginning of each shift.
  • Emphasize good personal behavior and promote teamwork.
  • Maintain personal grooming according to property procedures.
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Communicate potential guest issues or complaints to the MOD.
  • Clean and maintain the physical work area and perform sidework duties according to SOP.
  • Handle multiple duties simultaneously.
  • Participate in training programs.
  • Maintain high grooming standards according to Marina Bay Sands guidelines.
  • Attend line-ups with other staff and review information pertinent to the day's business.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Secondary school education with 'O' Level passes; Diploma in any field is an advantage.
  • Minimum 1 year in a guest service or guest contact role, preferably in a hospitality organization.
  • Possess food hygiene and safety certification.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Possess a well-groomed, professional appearance.
