About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Sommelier to join our dynamic team at Nobu Singapore. As a Sommelier, you will be instrumental in creating an outstanding beverage program that elevates our culinary offerings and enhances the overall guest experience. Key Responsibilities- Curate and manage an extensive beverage list that aligns with our hotel's culinary offerings.
- Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to craft exquisite wine and sake pairings.
- Forge strategic relationships with esteemed wine and sake distributors to ensure a diverse and premium-quality inventory.
- Provide bespoke customer service by assisting guests in selecting wines and sakes that elevate their dining experience.
- Oversee the cellar, ensuring optimal storage conditions and organizational excellence.
- Conceptualize and execute wine and sake-related events, tastings, and promotions that engage and captivate our guests.
- Develop and manage the beverage budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and responsible financial management practices.
- Stay up-to-date with local and international food and beverage regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and licensing requirements.
- Experience as a Sommelier or similar role in a luxury hospitality establishment or brand.
- Certification from a recognized sommelier program.
- Strong knowledge of wines, wine regions, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in restaurant software and systems, F&B operations, quality management, and regulatory compliance.
