Job Title: Offshore Operations Manager

As a seasoned technical professional, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational and maintenance aspects of Offshore Supply Vessels (AHTS). Your key responsibilities include ensuring vessels are fully operational, maintaining them in line with management agreements, and handling daily operations, maintenance, repair activities, inspections, surveys, budgeting, and docking. This position requires a strong background in technical operations, Class 1 or Class 2 COC, DP Maintenance, and High Voltage certificates. Ideal candidates will have seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer on offshore vessels and possess a solid understanding of Classification Rules and Saudi Aramco requirements. Additionally, they must be skilled at diagnosing technical issues, identifying root causes, and executing recovery plans. The successful candidate will also be an effective communicator, leader, and problem solver with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

• Manage the day-to-day technical operations of assigned vessels, including maintenance, repairs, inspections, and surveys.
• Coordinate with vendors, operations, and commercial teams to ensure vessels' technical and operational readiness.
• Review repair quotations, assess dry-docking requirements, select shipyards, and prepare budget proposals for senior management approval.
• Attend dry-docking, repairs, and surveys when required, and define repair specifications.
• Prepare post-docking evaluation reports covering completed works, budgets, and actual expenditures.
• Procure technical and operational supplies at competitive rates to ensure best value.
• Monitor vessel technical status in relation to class certification and survey requirements.
• Oversee the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain and document all statutory, class, and equipment certificates.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance to vessels.
• Conduct monthly reviews of vessel logs and inspections.
• Supervise contractors carrying out vessel maintenance and repair.
• Manage budgets and control costs related to spares, repairs, and docking.
• Perform technical compliance audits and investigate equipment defects/failures to ensure standards are met.
• Collaborate with the HSE team to support implementation of QHSE systems and policies.
• Review codes, guidelines, and standards to ensure compliance with Quality & Safety Management requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture to maintain zero loss-time incidents and report all accidents or near misses.
• Report directly to the Technical Fleet Management Department, with a matrix line to the Business Unit Manager.
• Handle any additional technical assignments as required.

• Seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer on offshore vessels.
• Class 1 or Class 2 COC; DP Maintenance and High Voltage certificates required.
• Minimum Class 2 certification or equivalent, with proven experience on Offshore Supply Vessels.
• Strong knowledge of Classification Rules and, ideally, Saudi Aramco requirements.
• Skilled at diagnosing technical issues, identifying root causes, and executing recovery plans.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Hands-on, well-organized, and an effective communicator.

• Capable of delivering stand-up training sessions for vessel crews.
• Willingness and ability to travel at short notice.
