**Job Summary**:
The Head of Offshore Technical SEAP is responsible for driving and contributing to offshore market growth in line with LEAP 28 ambitious with focus on technical solution side. It includes providing input on strategic technical directions, overseeing market trends and driving internal resource readiness. The role requires interaction in development of long-term customers’ relationships, involves and provides feedback to rules and industry standards updates process, leads/coordinates a team of technical specialists to deliver timely and quality services throughout project lifecycles.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategy leadership and business development**:

- Conduct market analysis and drive business development initiatives in the offshore, offshore renewables and offshore floating wind sectors.
- Business Development and key account management for Owners and Yards for Offshore in SEAP region and beyond. Frequent business travel within SEAP and beyond will be necessary.
- Engage in pre-sales discussions and provide clarifications to existing and new clients on the scope of work and verification of internal cost estimations with relevant scope of work.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients on a wide range of offshore engineering challenges, including structural integrity, hydrodynamics, and mooring systems.
- Assist in the management of technical & commercial proposals decision making processes.
- Promote strategic initiatives such as Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Joint Development Projects (JDPs), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)/PRE-FEED and Approval in Principle (AiPs) for Offshore projects.
- Represent Bureau Veritas at industry events, conferences, and meetings acting as a thought leader to enhance market visibility and brand reputation.

**Technical and Regulatory Expertise**:

- Stay up to date with the latest developments in offshore engineering technology, materials, and best practices, and incorporate them into Bureau Veritas' service offerings.
- Perform gap analysis and comparisons of offshore regulations to identify compliance needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Bureau Veritas' offshore engineering strategy and policies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of offshore industry regulations, standards, and best practices to provide strategic guidance and ensure organizational compliance.
- Drive innovation by staying informed about advancements in offshore engineering technologies and incorporating them into Bureau Veritas’ service offerings.

**Leadership and project**management**:

- Oversee project execution at a high level, ensuring effective coordination between internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on resource allocation, project priorities, and technical decision-making to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Manage and mentor a team of technical specialists, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering professional growth within the team. Develop local competencies and delegations according to the market and customer needs. Including but not limited to:

- Review and approve the design of offshore structures, including floating production units, and subsea systems, to ensure compliance with industry standards and Bureau Veritas requirements.
- Conduct technical assessments, surveys, and inspections of offshore assets during construction, installation, and operation.
- Perform CFD analysis for hydrodynamics and mooring assessments.
- Collaborate with other departments within the Marine & Offshore division, such as project management and quality assurance, to ensure seamless service delivery with compliance of Bureau Veritas’ standards, client expectations, and industry regulations throughout project lifecycles.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or offshore engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the marine and offshore industries, with a strong background in offshore structure and equipment design, construction, and operations
- Proven track record of leading and managing a team of technical specialists.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to offshore engineering.
- Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools, such as finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and hydrodynamic and mooring analysis software
- Willingness to travel to offshore locations for site visits and inspections in all of APA.
- Experience working with class societies or regulatory bodies in the marine and offshore industries is highly desirable.
