Job Title: Contract Developer (SAS/SQL Migration in Bank)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Contract Developer to lead our SAS/SQL migration project in the banking sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing existing code, developing Python scripts, and documenting processes clearly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing SAS/SQL code and develop Python scripts to replicate or improve functionality.
  • Document code and processes clearly to support future maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues arising during migration.
  • Deliver project milestones within the contract period.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven proficiency in Python programming & SQL.
  • Good understanding of Starburst and SAS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with database concepts and data manipulation.
  • Ability to read and understand legacy code in SAS/SQL and translate logic into Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Prior experience in similar contract or project-based roles is preferred.
