Job Title: Data Migration Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for migrating legacy code and scripts into efficient, maintainable Python code.

You will also analyze existing code and scripts written in SAS/SQL languages, develop Python scripts to replicate or improve existing functionality, document code and processes clearly to support future maintenance, troubleshoot and debug issues arising during migration, and deliver project milestones within the contract period.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of a diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. You should also have proven proficiency in Python programming & SQL, a good understanding of Starburst and SAS is a plus, familiarity with database concepts and data manipulation, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt, and prior experience in similar contract or project-based roles is preferred.
