Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Contract Developer to work on a challenging SAS/SQL migration project in the banking sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in Python programming and SQL, and experience with SAS programming.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing existing code and scripts written in SAS/SQL languages, developing Python scripts to replicate or improve existing functionality, documenting code and processes clearly, troubleshooting and debugging issues arising during migration, and delivering project milestones within the contract period.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, proven proficiency in Python programming and SQL, good understanding of Starburst and SAS is a plus, familiarity with database concepts and data manipulation, ability to read and understand legacy code in SAS/SQL and translate logic into Python, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing existing code and scripts written in SAS/SQL languages
  • Developing Python scripts to replicate or improve existing functionality
  • Documenting code and processes clearly
  • Troubleshooting and debugging issues arising during migration
  • Delivering project milestones within the contract period

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
