The Role

This role is a developing engineering position responsible for providing technical support to clients by identifying and resolving issues proactively. The primary objective is to ensure all requests result in zero missed Service Level Agreement (SLA) conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage infrastructure at client sites to ensure it is configured, installed, tested and operational.
  • Install and configure software according to client requirements.
  • Proactively identify problems and log them with required detail.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to expedite diagnosis and resolution.
  • Investigate second-line support calls, identify root causes and apply knowledge articles.
  • Respond to alerts, escalate to L3 Field Engineer when unable to resolve within time.
  • Update incidents with progress and resolution details.
  • Efficiently resolve incidents and requests.
  • Apply tools to track, log and report on configuration items.
  • Investigate problems in systems and processes and assist in implementing remedies.
  • Provide second-line remote and onsite technical support to clients.
  • Report and escalate issues to vendors if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing.
  • Professional certifications in Data Centre technologies like Cisco, NetApp, EMC.
  • Networking certifications like CCNP, JNCIP, ACMP.
  • Collaboration certifications like CCNP Collaboration, Microsoft Voice certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. We offer a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plans and paid time off.
