Key Responsibilities

The Commercial Executive plays a pivotal role in the Commercial Department, serving as the primary point of contact for external clients and internal stakeholders. This includes production, subcon, purchasing, and finance teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Tasks:

  • Attend VSCC meetings and progress meetings on board vessels.
  • Conduct inspections of additional works with trades, SRM, subcontractors, and owners.
  • Submit and agree prices for all additional works, based on manhours, materials, and subcontractor costs, prior to work commencement.
  • Provide weekly cost updates to owners.
  • Prepare part payment invoices and follow up on remittance.
  • Negotiate and settle final repair invoices with owners and technical supervisors.
  • Monitor, track, and report project budgets and P&L on a weekly basis.
  • Submit project costing and revenue reports to Finance for month-end closing.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ship repairs.
  • Diploma in Marine, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, or Offshore Engineering.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SAP/Salesforce is preferred.
  • Working location: Tuas.
