Lead Coastal Engineer

  • ">
  • Carry out design review of C&S and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment, and land reclamation etc.">
  • Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager to carry out: Review on plan for Site investigation and result interpretation, Review on C&S design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment, and land reclamation (i.e.: deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc)">
  • Prepare tender documents, technical specification. Managing subcontracts (i.e.: on-site survey works, soil investigation contract, etc) Managing main contracts with the client Ensure submissions and proper record filing. Supervise both design and/or site work. Lead regular meetings / workshop. Prepare technical reports / structural design calculation reports and submission to Authorities.">
  • Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice and maintain high quality standards of design, supervision as well as guiding junior engineers.">

Requirements:

Minimum a Bachelor/master's degree in civil/Structural Engineering recognized by PEB. Minimum 10 years of relevant design/project management experience in a consultancy firm involving infrastructure and/or marine infrastructure/coastal infrastructure projects. Experience of working on marine infrastructure projects in SEA countries. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Team player and able to multi-task Disciplined, self-motivated and resourceful. Experience in contract administration Familiar with Eurocodes Well versed in design software, e.g. STAAD Pro, Plaxis, GeoStudio, Prokon, Etabs etc are preferred.
