Coastal Engineering Professional

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Coastal Engineer to join our team in planning and designing port projects.
  • The successful candidate will lead client and team coordination efforts, drive coastal studies, and execute comprehensive analysis ranging from Metocean Studies to Dynamic Mooring Analysis.
  • This role involves designing Breakwaters, Groynes, Revetments, and other 'hard' coastal engineering solutions, as well as beaches, beach stabilisation measures, reclamations, and other 'soft' coastal engineering solutions.
  • Promote marine engineering expertise through ship-shore interface design, design of berthing and mooring equipment, and determining environmental loads on port structures.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, pre-FEED and Conceptual Design up to Basic and Detailed Design levels.
  • Support draughtsmen and BIM modellers to ensure drawings and models align with customised designs and specifications.
  • Coach junior Coastal Engineers to enhance their skills and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Achieve at least 5 years of experience as a Coastal Engineer.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in project management and industry codes and standards.
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing.
  • Flexible working attitude, including willingness to travel and participate in short-term secondments abroad.
