Job Overview

Coastal Project Leadership Role

This position involves coordinating various coastal engineering projects, with responsibilities including port planning, client and team coordination, design of breakwaters, groynes, and other hard coastal solutions, as well as beaches and beach stabilisation measures.

  • Port planning projects (layout design, master planning, navigation and berthing assessments)
  • Client and team coordination
  • Design of Breakwaters, Groynes, Revetments and other hard coastal engineering solutions
  • Design of beaches, beach stabilisation measures, reclamations and other soft coastal engineering solutions
  • Marine engineering (ship-shore interface design, design of berthing and mooring equipment, determine environmental loads on port structures like breakwaters, jetties, quay walls and offshore foundations)
  • Coastal studies (design of beach stabilisation measures, dredging studies, wave/hydraulic and morphology studies, scour assessments)

You will also be responsible for supporting junior engineers, participating in project management, and working collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Requirements:
  • Minimum a degree in relevant field, preferably in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a Coastal Engineer
  • Well-versed in project management and industry codes and standards
  • Able to adapt and work in highly collaborative environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in report writing
  • Flexible working attitude which also means willingness to travel and secondments abroad
