Job Description">

As a Data Historian Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining interfaces for contextualized data acquisition. This includes alarms, events, and audit trail information. You will also build and refine SQL queries to extract, transform, and manage production and system data.

Additionally, you will contribute to investigations and design activities related to Plug & Produce (P&P) for smooth integration between MES and Historian platforms. You will review and validate technical documentation for system interfaces and support validation activities by executing and documenting test cases.

Collaboration with Digital, Automation, MES, MSAT, and Global teams is crucial to analyze and resolve application incidents, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution. Troubleshooting and resolving connectivity and data flow issues across MES, PLC, DCS, and Historian systems is also a key responsibility.

Maintaining the performance and availability of Historian platforms to ensure stability and reliability is essential. Performing regular maintenance tasks such as log reviews, job monitoring, and health checks is also critical.

Required Skills and Qualifications">

Proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies is required. Solid expertise in deploying and configuring Aspen Historian Suite (Aspen IP.21, Aspen Production Record Manager, Event21, CIM-IO, Batch Extractor, Aspen SQL+) is necessary.

Experience with Kepware configuration, including driver setup for protocol transactions and data aggregation, is also required. A background in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is preferred. Proven track records of integrating automation and control systems such as DCS, SCADA platforms, PLCs, benchtop instruments, and lab/manufacturing equipment are highly valued.

Database skills in MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle are necessary. Knowledge of industrial protocols such as ODBC, FTP, MQTT, OPC-UA, OPC-DA, and Modbus is also required. Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell for automation and data management is desired.

Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking principles, and operating systems (Windows/Linux) is essential.
