About This Role

This position plays a pivotal part in leading billing excellence and driving the implementation of the National Billing System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate charging and billing system configurations are maintained in SAP-ISH & eCCAP systems.
  • Administer master records in SAP-ISH & eCCAP to control billing system settings.
  • Oversee timely and accurate patient account charging, third-party payor claim submissions, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Lead a team of billing staff to achieve departmental KPIs and operational targets.
  • Schedule work assignments and allocate resources for adequate coverage.
  • Set clear expectations, manage staff career development, and foster a positive team culture.
  • Handle public inquiries and complaints efficiently, courteously, and professionally.
  • Provide clear explanations for billing inquiries from patients and family members.
  • Escalate complex situations and collaborate with other departments for prompt service recovery and patient satisfaction.
  • Oversee purchased services from external parties for accurate and timely charging to patient bills.
  • Administer purchase and charging of specialized nursing non-stocked items consumed or used by wards.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to billing policies and procedures.
  • Represent the organization in user requirement gathering and User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements.
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train staff on system implementations and new service roll-outs.
  • Represent the organization in discussions with system vendors and external stakeholders regarding billing and finance systems.
  • Support the implementation of NBS as the designated expert user and/or primary trainer.
  • Analyze, identify, and report gaps between existing business requirements and NBS functionalities.
  • Establish new SOPs and work instructions to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Provide management decision support through data extraction, collation, and business analysis.
  • Ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate external audits and respond to auditor requirements and queries.
Requirements
  • A degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, or Professional Accounting Qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player skilled in managing cross-functional relationships.
  • Adept at navigating complex situations.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Systematic and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
