Key Accountable Billing Manager

Overview

As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for providing strategic support to the billing and collections operations. Your focus will be on delivering timely and accurate billing services to our commercial customers while ensuring seamless interactions with various stakeholders.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced billing manager to lead our team in driving process improvements, managing budgets, and fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.

Purpose and Scope

  • Develop, implement, and monitor business processes for efficient billing and collections operations.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, recommending actionable solutions to senior management.
  • Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of billing and collections professionals in achieving operational excellence and adhering to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, communicate, and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices related to billing and collections.
  • Implement and manage projects aimed at streamlining business processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on billing and collections matters, including resolving complex customer complaints and issues.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of billing and collections operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as finance or business administration, is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior billing or collections role, preferably in the energy or utilities industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading high-performing teams and implementing process improvements that drive business growth.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Skills / Competencies & Preferred Characteristics

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as process mapping and analysis tools.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
