Job Title: Industrial Operations Manager

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Industrial Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for overseeing the assembly and maintenance of cooling towers in new construction and replacement projects.

  • Carry out supervision duties for cooling tower assembling and maintenance works, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and project timelines.
  • Prepare necessary documents, including Permit to Work and Job Safety Analysis, and conduct briefings to working personnel as required by the main contractor.
  • Lead installation teams during assembling works, ensuring team members adhere to standard operating procedures and report progress to Project Engineers.
  • Guide site teams on defect rectification for cooling towers during construction and upload photos to the site management system for client approval.
  • Interpret construction drawings for equipment layouts, structural support requirements, and verify actual equipment before execution.
  • Carry out drive coupling alignment using dial gauge/laser methods and troubleshoot fan drive systems.
  • Familiarize yourself with ACMV equipment operations, including pumps, heat exchangers, and chillers.
  • Prepare commissioning checklists, method statements, and spare parts forecasts for preventive maintenance of cooling towers and other ACMV equipment.
  • Develop installation procedures and checklists, monitoring site teams during installation work.
  • Carry out alignment works using manpower, guide teams on site, and obtain leveling and alignment approvals from the general contractor/client.
  • Respond to emergency calls within 60 minutes and resolve reported issues within the next 3 hours.
  • Perform regular maintenance of cooling towers, inspect/check lists, and obtain verification from clients for approval.
  • Conduct testing & commissioning of cooling towers and support heat load tests and integrated systems tests as necessary for different projects.
  • Prepare reports for testing & commissioning, equipment inspections, job completion, cause analysis, and client feedback.
Requirements:
  • Minimum ITI or Diploma with 10 years' experience in similar works.
  • Must have BCSS, WAH, Confined Space Entry, SOC for Process Plant certifications.
  • Knowledge of cooling towers, heat exchangers, and pumps.
  • Able to work independently and result-oriented.
  • Possess own transport.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
