Procurement Manager/Deputy Director Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our organization in a key role that involves sourcing materials and managing supplier relationships.

  • Sourcing and Supplier Management:
    • Develop strategies for procuring materials, focusing on quality and cost-efficiency.
    • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
    • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value.
    • Build strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Procurement Operations:
    • Manage the procurement process from requisition to order delivery.
    • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize costs and reduce waste.
  • Quality and Compliance:
    • Ensure procured materials meet company quality standards and specifications.
    • Work closely with quality assurance teams to resolve any issues with suppliers.
    • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Cost Management:
    • Develop and manage procurement budgets.
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to reduce procurement expenses.
    • Conduct market analysis to stay informed of industry trends and pricing.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business goals.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on materials sourcing.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sourcing strategies.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to procurement.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience in the manufacturing or production industry.
    • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPM, CPSM).
