Procurement Specialist

This role is responsible for the procurement of materials and supplies. The successful candidate will have excellent negotiation skills and be able to manage inventory effectively.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on the orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
  • Receives material and supplies from supplier by verifying materials and supplies code and serial number and quantity tally with the PO created; placing materials in stock.
  • Pulling out items from Inventory (physically & in Maximo) for WO by identifying item / Serial number tally as per PR request.
  • Keeping close track of inventory usage in system and physical stocks and ensuring that stocks are replenished and kept available at all times.
  • Maintain Shared Tools Item and keep track, in & out usage.
  • Keep Tracks of Tech Tools/PPE issued to each User / Requestor and to ensure that they were being issued out diligently.
  • Covering of procurement daily basics during absent / not around and miscellaneous job given.
  • Supporting the Procurement dept closely.
  • Receiving of materials from suppliers.
  • Closing follow-up on pending items.
  • Able to identify and understand the urgency of materials requested.
  • Stock taking and inventory creation.
  • In-charge of Bench stocks and store housekeeping.
  • Liaising & coordinating with technicians & suppliers on rejected items/wrong items.
  • Ad-hoc duty as per assigned by Procurement Manager.
