**Laboratory Technician Role Overview


Job Summary:
This position is open for a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine and non-routine laboratory tests on petroleum samples using standardized methods and calibrated equipment.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory data and maintain proper documentation in accordance with ISO17025 and internal quality control protocols.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in chemistry, possess excellent analytical skills, and be able to work accurately under pressure. In addition, the ability to support senior analysts and chemists in maintaining laboratory safety, cleanliness, and compliance with accreditation standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting laboratory tests on petroleum samples using standardized methods and calibrated equipment.
• Maintaining accurate and reliable laboratory data, adhering to ISO17025 and internal quality control protocols.
• Supporting senior analysts and chemists in maintaining laboratory safety, cleanliness, and compliance with accreditation standards.
• Recording, validating, and reporting test results accurately and promptly.
• Ensuring all analytical procedures are performed in accordance with ISO17025 and internal quality control protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Science, or equivalent degree.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in a petroleum laboratory environment, particularly in handling sample blending and composite sample preparation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with ISO17025 and internal quality control protocols.
