**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance of medical technologists to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and biosafety standards & licensing and accreditation requirements of the Laboratory.
- Participate in Laboratory quality assurance and accreditation activities with the QA/QC Officer.
- Monitor, activate and implement document changes arising from changes to regulatory standards and process improvements to the Company’s quality assurance system.
- Provide training to the laboratory team.
- Other activities and services as assigned by the laboratory director and/or senior management.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
- Maintain a competent trained workforce to ensure clinical accuracy.
- Undertake trouble-shooting, process improvement, and quality improvement of lab operations.
- Ensure compliance to regulatory and biosafety standards & licensing and accreditation requirements.
- Ensure timely maintenance and preventive maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
- Perform and implement Quality Control procedures in new tests and workflows and be responsible for all passes and failures of QC tests within the Quality Management System.
- Work with Laboratory, Operations, Logistics, Quality Assurance, Business development on timely samples receipt, processing and reporting.
- Ensure continual compliance to licensing and accreditation certifications with relevant regulatory bodies including participating in proficiency programmes.
- Any ad-hoc task as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- At least 3 years of experience in a commercial (non-academic) molecular laboratory with extensive experience with Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).
- At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory management or team leader role in a commercial (non-academic) molecular laboratory with extensive experience with Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).
- Preferably Managers specializing in Science & Technology/Laboratory or equivalent.
- Familiar with clinical molecular laboratory workflow and quality management, strong communication and leadership skills, good team player
