Senior Medical Technologist Job Opportunity

Job Overview:

The role of Senior Medical Technologist is a crucial part of our laboratory operations, responsible for performing various test procedures in accordance with laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses on blood, CSF, urine, and other body fluids.
  • Carry out routine haematology procedures.
  • Participate in bacteriological procedures, including cultures, isolation, and identification techniques, as well as antibiotic sensitivity testing.
  • Engage in Blood Banking procedures.
  • Conduct immunology and serology procedures.
  • Perform microscopy procedures.
  • Register patient samples and handle telephone inquiries from clients.
  • Print and fax patient results.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory policies for registration, billing, identification, processing, reporting, result retrieval, and record/specimen keeping.
  • Maintain inventory levels of clinical laboratory consumables and reagents.
  • Check instrument performance and report any equipment malfunctions.
  • Comply with regulatory guidelines and participate in quality assurance programs.

Requirements:

  • Recognized Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent.
  • Recognized Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology or Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Clinical Laboratory.
