Senior Medical Laboratory Professional

Our laboratory team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our ranks. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily team activities, prioritizing specimens and overseeing testing and reporting.
- Supervise staff, providing training, competency assessments, and addressing disciplinary matters.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including calibration and quality control.
- Manage incidents, assist investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and review laboratory documentation, including policies and work instructions.
- Utilize laboratory information systems and relevant software.
- Oversee personnel performing tests and reporting results, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
- Perform specimen reception, order entry, and other duties in the laboratory as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum degree in Biomedical Science.
- ASCPi certified preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in working in a clinical laboratory.
- Experience in biochemistry preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience in training and assessment of staff, writing and implementing policies and instructions preferred.
