DC Operations Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to provide technical leadership and management for all Data Center (DC) operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our critical IT systems.

  • Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for DC infrastructure, including servers, storage, backup/recovery systems, and network architecture. Ensure alignment with corporate standards and best practices.
    • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and replacement of DC equipment, hardware, and software. Perform routine proactive server maintenance activities, including Windows/Linux patching and configuration updates.
      • Project Management: Lead or participate in projects related to DC initiatives, such as Office 365, video conferencing, industrial controls, and cybersecurity rollouts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
        • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of DC systems, configurations, and procedures. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including non-technical leaders, vendors, and system integrators.

Key qualifications include:

  • 8-10 years of experience in MS Windows, VM, ADS/Domain controller, and Azure Cloud platform administration. Familiarity with IT-OT systems in a critical DATA CENTRE environment.
    • Strong knowledge of enterprise backup software, Windows patch management, VMware administration, Cisco Core/Server Access Switches, Fortinet, Palo Alto Firewalls, and ICS OEM vendor digital control systems.
      • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and system integrators. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field. Industry certifications like Azure are a plus.

In addition to these core responsibilities, we are looking for someone who can also:

  • Support data center certification processes and corporate audit teams.
    • Collaborate with other DC facility operations teams on projects and initiatives.
      • Develop processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment.
