Digital Filmmaking Expert: Tenure-Track Professor Position

Nanyang Technological University's School of Art, Design and Media invites applications for a tenure-track professor position in Digital Filmmaking (Cinematography). The successful candidate will be appointed at either Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience.
Job Description:
This is a research-based position requiring a strong professional background in digital filmmaking and university-level teaching experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in all aspects of cinematography, including virtual production, hybrid live-action animation capture, or visual effects cinematography. A holistic understanding of the filmmaking process and an appreciation for cinematic narrative and storytelling are also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop innovative curriculum, and engage in academic research. They will also contribute to the school's vibrant research-driven culture and play a key role in developing an innovative curriculum that aligns with the needs of today's industry and society.
Requirements:
The candidate must demonstrate significant experience and expertise in all aspects of cinematography, as well as a strong international reputation. A terminal degree (MFA or PhD) is preferred, or exceptional professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a track record of high-quality academic scholarship and/or impactful creative activity.
