Job Title: Institutional Business Development Lead

The role of the Institutional Business Development Lead is to identify and onboard fund managers (hedge funds, long-only, PE/VC) and EAMs into our institutional platform.

  • Develop strategic partnerships and distribution pipelines across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Client Acquisition & Business Development:
    • Identify and onboard new clients into the moomoo platform.
    • Develop relationships with existing clients to drive growth and adoption of our services.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Serve as primary relationship lead for assigned institutional clients.
    • Deepen client engagement through regular reviews, idea generation, and product advisory.
  • Product & Solutioning Advisory:
    • Work closely with product, operations, and tech teams to offer customized trading, custody, and investment solutions.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence:
    • Monitor evolving trends in fund and EAM needs, regulatory landscape, and competitor offerings.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Lead cross-department coordination for onboarding, compliance, and operational support.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in institutional sales or business development within a brokerage, private bank, fund platform, or fintech. They will also have a deep network and proven track record with fund managers and EAMs across Singapore and the region.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong understanding of institutional trading, investment products, custody models, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and scale business from the ground up.
  • Prior experience in a fast-growing fintech or brokerage environment is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients is a plus.
