Job Title: Community Support Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable families and children. As a Community Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in strengthening support networks and empowering individuals to thrive.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide casework and targeted intervention support for families under the Steady Steps Scheme, working closely with lead case management agencies.
  • Design and deliver strengths-based programs that promote socio-emotional and mental wellbeing of children and youth from vulnerable backgrounds.
  • Conduct regular home visits and scheduled follow-ups with participating families to monitor progress, provide casework support, and ensure assistance is aligned with agreed program requirements, financial and developmental goals.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Development work, or related fields.
  • Experience in youth development, social services, education, community-based programs, or mentoring is advantageous; internship or volunteer experience in similar settings may be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, compassionate, empathetic, and culturally sensitive, with a genuine interest in engaging and supporting families, children, and youth from vulnerable backgrounds.
