Job Overview

This role involves providing high-quality home-based services and support to families and children experiencing abuse or severe neglect.

  • We are looking for a professional with expertise in conducting risk assessments, safety planning, and social investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective safety plans to ensure the well-being of children and families.
  • Carry out social investigations to identify areas of concern and provide recommendations for intervention.
  • Collaborate with families, parents/caregivers, and other stakeholders to develop wraparound services that address their unique needs.
  • Provide emotional support, guidance, and brief counseling to selected families and children.
  • Supervise social workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Social Work or a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with child protection, mental health, and/or family violence issues.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Maturity, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to work with professionals and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • The ability to engage and work with children and adolescents.
  • Preparedness to work two nights a week and weekends occasionally.
