Chief Finance Officer Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Strategist to spearhead our organization's financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, accounting, and compliance. This individual will play a pivotal leadership role in driving business growth through strategic fundraising, M&A activities, and potential IPOs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strengthen internal controls, reporting accuracy, and financial discipline across the organization.
  • Lead the development of financial policies, procedures, and systems to support business growth and risk management.
Business Support & Strategic Finance
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive business planning, cost optimization, and performance management.
  • Provide actionable insights on business drivers through financial analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and decision support tools.
  • Support long-term planning and scenario modeling to inform data-driven decision-making.
Fundraising & Capital Markets
  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute equity and debt financing strategies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with bankers, external financial partners, and investors.
  • Drive financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and investor communications.
Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Work closely with the M&A team to evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead financial due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and post-merger financial integration.
  • Coordinate with external advisors, legal counsel, and internal teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
IPO Readiness & Execution (if applicable)
  • Oversee the company's IPO preparation, including financial audits, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement scalable financial systems and controls suitable for a public company.
  • Liaise with investment bankers, auditors, regulators, and other external stakeholders throughout the IPO process.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years as a CFO or senior finance leader.
  • Prior experience in mid-sized to large global manufacturing companies is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in global organizations with international operations and multi-currency environments.
  • Familiarity with fundraising, M&A, and capital planning; IPO experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – able to balance structure and flexibility, risk and growth.
  • High level of resilience, adaptability, and stress tolerance in dynamic business environments.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on and able to travel frequently around the world.
