Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking an expert technical support specialist to provide exceptional service and help drive business growth. This role involves providing product information, application support, and problem diagnosis to sales teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries from sales reps and customers via phone and email about product specifications, capabilities, and applications.
  • Analyse and troubleshoot customer issues remotely using strong analytical skills.
  • Research competitive product information to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Perform product application testing to ensure seamless integration.
  • Create and update training manuals and materials for sales teams to enhance knowledge sharing.
  • Plan and conduct training sessions for new hires and existing sales staff to improve productivity.
  • Share important product updates through internal channels to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Coordinate with the parent company in Japan on new product releases and literature development to maintain strong partnerships.
  • Travel for customer or affiliate training seminars as needed to expand professional networks.
  • Support sales reps with on-site presentations when required to showcase products effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve department efficiency and lead related projects to streamline operations.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with quotation and order entry to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Perform other assigned duties to meet business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical) or 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent active listening and communication skills to simplify complex ideas and build strong relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Customer-focused attitude with good interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service.
