Job Title: Research Scientist.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will be involved in various research projects focusing on coastal engineering, with a specific emphasis on AI tracking of coastal structures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To investigate and develop novel sensing and monitoring techniques for coastal structures using AI algorithms.
  • To conduct life cycle analyses to identify the benefits of AI tracking in coastal environments.
  • To design and implement field experiments to collect high-quality data on coastal structures.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as civil engineering, environmental science, or computer science, with expertise in AI-driven image recognition and data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience with experimental testing in the field and laboratory, hydrodynamic modeling, and environmental data analysis.
  • Possession of a master's degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred.
