Researcher in Coastal Engineering

Our team invites applications for a Researcher position in the area of coastal engineering. As a researcher, you will work on investigating AI tracking of coastal structures with novel sensing and monitoring, environmental modelling, and environmental impact assessment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Experimental measurements and numerical simulations to train and validate AI tracking algorithms
  • Life cycle analysis to identify benefits of AI tracking
  • Field experiments in the coastal environment to collect good quality data
  • Organisation of international meetings and forums (prior experience preferred)

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in related areas with emphasis on AI-driven image recognition, environmental data analysis, experimental testing in the field and laboratory, hydrodynamic modelling, or relevant topics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Openness to fixed-term contract
