Title: *Manager Regional Business Development - Excipients*
Job Function: Business Development
- This newly created position will drive the growth of our Excipients clients in the APAC market. The successful candidate will be responsible for new client rollout, and portfolio expansion of the entire Excipient range.
- The jobholder will identify and establish new suppliers for Excipients in the APAC Market, interacting with end users of Excipients in Pharma FDF (Finished Dosage Form) for Human Pharma applications.
- A key requirement is expertise in techno-commercial evaluation of opportunities with new suppliers. Project execution, driving projects from concept to commercialization, and possessing good technical knowledge on various types and chemistries of excipients used in the industry are also essential skills.
- Closing Excipient portfolio GAPs for various countries of the region for distribution in Asia and supporting regional countries (LBLM & SM) to implement regional PO BD plans are important tasks.
- The jobholder will coordinate and manage relationships with selected Key Clients, set KPI's, report, and organize meetings. Coordination with Country Sourcing Teams with a vision to develop new Clients for Excipients is another responsibility.
- Developing marketing material (with support of digital and marketing team) and conducting competition / Suppliers survey: searching on granted and non-granted information, technology mapping is also part of the role.
- Organizing Industry or client workshops for Excipients and accountable to deliver GMI by managing price, volume, inventory, product/country/customer mix are other critical responsibilities.
- Preferably experienced in heading Excipient business or parts of it in the current job.
- BHolding a business development mindset with willingness to develop new markets, and industry technologies.
- Excellent capability to work with multi-cultural teams, and remote working. Flexible and organized – able to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
- Availability to travel within Asia and demonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for medium- to large-sized companies in similar industries.
- Demonstrate business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills, demonstrating skills in market research and audit. Ability to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects.
- Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions and fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Degree in Business Pharmacy preferred. At least 10 years of relevant working experience in a similar position or commercial experience in Excipients.
