The Opportunity

The company is a leading global energy player with a presence in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. They specialize in trading, supplying, and distributing crude, petrochemical, refined, and biofuel products.

As they expand their portfolio to include cleaner energy alternatives, they maintain a strong foundation in conventional energy supply chains.

They are currently seeking a Senior Fertilizer Trader based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and spearhead the company's new fertilizer desk.
  • Manage the procurement and sales of fertilizer products in compliance with risk policies and guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain strong connections with suppliers, clients, and partners to broaden the company's trading reach and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Secure advantageous pricing agreements with both suppliers and customers for competitive and profitable trading outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to define new role requirements, recommend necessary qualifications, participate in interviews, and contribute to final hiring choices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent.
  • 10 – 15 years of relevant experience within fertilizer trading regionally/globally.
  • Working experience in containerized shipment of physical commodity and its documentation.
  • Understanding of seller and buyer contracts.
  • Excellent connections with overseas stakeholders (buyers and sellers).
  • Proven track record of profitable trading (globally).
