Overview

As a Fertilizer Trading Specialist at our client, a leading Fertilizer / Raw material trading house in the Indian subcontinent, you will play a crucial role in further developing and scaling the platform across the region. Your primary focus will be on deepening market access, expanding product coverage, and strengthening origination across import and domestic flows.

Responsibilities
  • Originate and execute fertilizer trading opportunities across India, including urea, DAP, MOP, NPKs, among others.
  • Expand the local supplier and buyer network, which includes importers, distributors, cooperatives, and state procurement agencies.
  • Build and manage end-to-end physical transactions, encompassing pricing, logistics, and credit risk management.
  • Identify new product and market opportunities aligned with the company\'s global strategy.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth execution of trading activities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in fertilizer trading or related physical commodities within India.
  • Strong local network with producers, distributors, and institutional buyers.
  • Proven profit & loss (P&L) and deal origination capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in building out a desk/platform (beneficial).
  • Excellent communication and commercial negotiation skills.
