About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager, Strategic Communications and Media Relations to join our team at Careers@Gov. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and executing media communication strategies and plans to maximise publicity outcomes and deepen public awareness and understanding of public transport strategies and planning considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute media communication strategies and plans to maximise publicity outcomes and deepen public awareness and understanding of public transport strategies and planning considerations.
- Advise and support LTA departments by providing communication guidance in managing media issues, queries and interviews.
- Work closely with LTA departments to identify publicity opportunities across all platforms.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Journalism, Mass Communications, English or any related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in a media or PR organisation and familiarity in media related work including media relations, monitoring and analysis.
- Ability to comprehend and distil complicated policies to explain them to the general public as well as highlight possible public concerns.
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Experience in knowledge management and digitalisation would be advantageous.
- Interest in content creation and social media will be preferred.
