Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care services, including dispensing medication, advising on side effects and dosing intervals, and managing healthy stock levels.
- Assist in performing treadmill stress tests under close supervision of the doctor on duty and identify life-threatening ECG patterns to alert the doctor immediately.
- Perform finger prick blood tests and urine tests, interpret results, and record data accurately.
- Conduct diabetic retinal photography, diabetic foot screening, and nurse counseling to patients as needed.
- Work closely with doctors to manage and control drug inventory and stock levels, monitor consumable stock levels, and raise purchase requisition forms when necessary.
- Collect and record basic biodata, perform vaccinations and injections, administer and interpret Mantoux tests, and assist doctors in carrying out treatments or clinical procedures.
- Ensure resuscitation trolleys and accessories are fully equipped and maintained regularly.
- Simple wound dressing and removal of stitches under instruction from the doctor, perform phlebotomy when needed, and observe pre-blood collection, blood collection, and post-blood collection procedures.
- Responsible for administrative duties related to phlebotomy, including labeling samples and following up on test results.
- Provides patient education as necessary and keeps proper records, monitors, and follows up on equipment maintenance and repair.
- Supervise personnel at senior enrolled nurse level and below to ensure quality nursing care is rendered to patients.
Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in activities related to the smooth running of the clinic, including orientation of new clinical staff.
- Lead staff, exercise economy and care in the use of equipment and supplies, maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, and deliver prompt, professional, and customer-focused services.
- Effectively handle customers' inquiries, complaints, and feedback to achieve positive resolutions, facilitate evaluation and continuous improvement of services, and maintain current knowledge of health screening packages available in clinics.
- Provide counseling advice on beneficial health services to customers as necessary and attend continuing education to upgrade nursing knowledge and train clinical staff.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Centre Manager and HQ.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification required.
- BCLS & AED certification necessary.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience required, with applicants having 7 years or more experience considered for senior positions.
- Preferably with experience in clinic and ILTC settings, such as home care.
- Possess management and supervisory skills, good customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and good spoken and written communication skills.
- Report writing skills and sector knowledge also required.
