Lead Surface Mount Assembly Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Senior Manufacturing Process Specialist. This individual will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining surface mount assembly processes for printed circuit board assemblies.
- Analyze and improve process capability, first pass yield, and overall equipment effectiveness in our manufacturing environment.
- Define, monitor, and optimize reflow oven thermal profiles for lead-free soldering.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process defects such as tombstoning solder bridging and head-in-pillow.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain SMT assembly processes, including screen printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, wave, and SPI.
- Create and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
- Support New Product Introductions by establishing process flows, documentation, and line setup.
- Perform DFM/DFT reviews with design and test engineering teams.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality, production, R&D, and equipment engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-6+ years' experience in SMT or PCBA manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of SMT machines.
- Well-versed on ISO 13485 Medical requirements.
